internet signal always drops after few mins!

I know satellite internet is not the most reliable/quick, buts itsall we have. Started OK , but now on my compuer, get on OK, but signal always drops after few Mins. The tech. support have checked all their side, and say everything is OK their end. Tried to add my firewalls/antivirus programs to the exceptions tab- but still no joy. Any ideas ? Is there any way of actually finding what it is causing the problem- so I could work backwards??
