I would:
a. Get it in writing that you will get the refund after accepting delivery.
or
b. Cancel the order.0 -
Dont think your being stitched up-but you will have to be patient to get your hands on that lovely lolly.0

a few years ago, i had the same issue with some cupboards. initially, i phoned up customer services and they said i would not be able to get a refund. but i persisted and went to see the store manager. he casually said not a problem, go and see a person in the department and they'll do you a refund. i went to the dept and told them that the manager had authorised a refund. without batting an eyelid the salesman did it immediately without checking. saved over £250....:j

Hello Kuztardd
I'll move your thread to 'The (Consumer) Vent' board.

I suggest writing to the store manager confirming your understanding of the case. Mention the names of the people who made these promises. Confirm your acceptance of the sofa and chairs on the proviso that your understanding is correct and you will be refunded the £150. Send it recorded."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."
