    Happy Friday everyone :)

I've just spent the last hour listing things on the bay of e, only managed 27 in that time :rotfl: it's mainly old textbooks as I'm trying to have a declutter and get rid of things. I'm never going to use them again so hopefully people will buy them and they can be used by someone else :) of course, the money will be useful too, especially this close to Christmas!

Nothing much else to report; DS hasn't napped at all today and is still awake - DH is trying to get him to sleep at the moment. I don't know what's been wrong with him today, he's been quite sick-y and generally grumpy. It looks as if we're going to be in for a looong night.

It's my birthday this weekend so I'm spending it with family, I can't wait :) perfect in my book.

Happy Birthday SF!!! Hope you have a lovely weekend of it - I wonder if DS is starting to teeth, is he that age yet? Get the teether out, in case!

And, erm, 27 listings on ebay in an hour is miraculous! They take forever! Tell me what your secret is :)

    Thanks everyone :)

Had a lovely birthday, spent it with DH, DS and other family members :) feel very lucky to have such lovely people who surround me.

The bad news is that the storm on Friday night has completely destroyed all of our garden fence, plus removed some of our roof tiles :( we've had two quotes to replace the fence and both are c. £1,200 which is a bit  but, as we currently have an unwanted open plan garden with three of the houses that back onto ours, we want it done ASAP. The roof tiles will cost us £100 to get them replaced, so it'll be an expensive week next week, when we're getting it all done. We're paying for it all from our Emergency Fund, which is what it's there for I suppose, but it's going to hurt a bit. Especially since I'm now just on statutory maternity pay, so it'll take us ages to replenish the funds in there.

On the positive side, two text books have sold on £bay already, which is something. Every little helps!

I think January will be a No Spend Month.... :)

Ouch at the storm damage. I really feel for all those who have been affected by it.

Any reason you can't buy the fence panels and replace yourself?

Because a) having a small baby limits time and b) it's a big job and we want it doing correctly :)

Any chance of insurance money helping, even if just for the roof? I had fence damage a few years ago, and they said fences weren't covered, but roofs .... maybe!
