Thanks fairyclicks.
I 'fell' into this thread last June when you were nominated for the SwagMom competition, which was around the same time that the targets and extra bonus began,I learnt that so much more could be achieved from the helpful advice and support on this thread, previously i had been a member since late 2009 when Swagbucks was mainly a search engine, then gradually videos, offer walls, games.tasks,& surveys got added.I hadn't tried TV or games until recently.I used to get £5.00 every 4-6 weeks & was quite happy with that as I didn't spend a lot of time on it & could go a few days without even logging in.I had already decided to ease off a bit this year as I won't meet full month targets for the next 6 months due to various family celebrations which involve being away from home overnight & weekends.
I have also noticed less surveys & reduced payment incentives on other survey sites as well. Synovate/Wonderbug merged with Ipsos end of last year & Elite Shopping Forum have merged with Rewarded Opinions in January as they said they aren't getting enough surveys from the companies to be viable.0 -

I think fairyclicks post makes a lot of sense. The daily targets are a good thing but they can be addictive, which is good for Swagbucks because the more they keep us on the site the more money they will earn. Of course all businesses need to make a profit and once that profit starts to diminish then that's when things start on a downward spiral and businesses fail.
I for one have been getting totally stressed out recently because of trying to hit the target - and I'm one of the lucky ones where on the whole most things have been crediting. I used to post a lot on here and always tried to be upbeat and positive, but just lately I've not felt able to do so. I suddenly thought on Friday that this is starting to not be fun. I look at it as a hobby - a way to earn a few gift vouchers instead of mindlessly sitting at the computer wasting my time, but there are people who do rely on that additional (albeit small) income. I decided yesterday to walk away from Swagbucks for a couple of days and I feel on the whole much better for doing so.
I think what is frustrating is the poor customer care that Swagbucks give in general, but there is nothing we can do about it and so we have to live with it. This forum seems to have degenerated into one of complaints rather than the original concept of trying to help fellow swaggers which is a shame, but is an indictment of the frustration that everyone is feeling about Swagbucks right now.
I can only concur with what fairyclicks has said - it is sometimes better to walk away. If you miss a few days of the daily target, it only means that you will be losing a £1 or so with the bonuses. It may be that Swagbucks will get back to how it was last year - I hope so, but if not there is little we can do about it. I am considering taking a complete break from the site - maybe try a different one, but I'm sure they all have their individual frustrations. What I will not do, though, is become stressed out again for what amounts to a few pence.

i don't see posting about the real issues on sb at the moment are negative. more realistic. the reality is that the site is bad at the moment for a lot of us and we are wasting so much time for nowt. our own faults yes so that is why like paul i am stepping back. trying other sites and not bothering with the totals.Originally Posted by easylife73:
