Has anyone had the following TS?
Gfk TS 208328
50SB
The survey wants you to keep a diary for 3 days of what drinks you consume (exc hot drinks) and where you may have consumed them. I filled in for today, but am reluctant to close the page as I am not sure when the SB's are awarded as they say bonus sb's awarded after completion. Also there is no diary to download, so I don't know when/how I'd access it again?
Cath I bookmarked the webpage because I thought I would then be able to click back into it to complete the diary, but it now says 'webpage unavailable'. I assumed the 30sb would be for being accepted onto the survey, but it hasn't credited for me, so it must have been what you get if you complete all 3 days. You can't keep a webpage open for 3 days, though, but for 30sb I'm not botheredSwagbucks joined 5th July 2012 - Earned 2012: Amazon - £300 - 2013: Amazon - £610

Thanks Paul and djdandew. Paul the survey stated 50sb for me. I also thought of bookmarking it and seeing if its active tomorrow or if we get an SB inbox about it......bit of an odd one tho lol. I don't think any of us who did a similar diary survey before got a follow up either......but we did get the bucks lol.0 -
I asked over in the tax subforum about paying tax on online earnings... It seems like everyone has a different opinion on it, but the overwhelming impression I got is that you can earn £190 a week without paying tax and that surveys/sites like this are unlikely to push you over the threshold (£300 pounds a year on AGCs is far far from £190 a week, even if you make that).
To take the situation and place it offline, a.k.a. if you actually let those annoying clipboard people survey you in the street and they gave you a £5 voucher for your trouble, would you declare it? Can HMRC take XX% of a gift certificate? I know PP will be slightly different, but it's still not a consistent income such as website+ad revenue stream or being a prolific ebay seller (BOTH of which you have to pay tax for AND register as self-employed).
I'm not sure, but I think that if you are employed and pay income tax and National Insurance already it will affect it because your tax allowance is already included in your pay. So in a situation like that then paypal and vouchers would be taxable because they would in effect increase your gross earnings. If you declare it as self-employed income, then you would also have to work out your business expenses, such as electricity, use of home etc. As you say, it's different matter if you are running a website and getting regular income from ads etc but how would HMRC know if you have earned Amazon vouchers?Swagbucks joined 5th July 2012 - Earned 2012: Amazon - £300 - 2013: Amazon - £610

I was warned about SBTV 3 months ago. I had ordered my first ever £25 gift voucher ,having previously just bought £5 ones. It was over two weeks ordered & I queried why it was so late. Back they came with " After review we are allowing you the voucher this time, but must warn you that your account has been flagged for irregular SBTV use. "
Did I respond ? Too right ! But could get NO satisfaction as to what they think I was doing. It's utterly infuriating that they accuse me of something & implicitly threaten with-holding vouchers I earned totally honestly. Made me mad & a bit sick.
Then last week I contacted them querying why I need to do captchas after EVERY round of TV .....since I joined (not just since 'flagging'). I batted back & forth with 'Brittany' in a flurry of emails and I am none the wiser. Says it is a security thing....fair enough.....but why just for SOME people & not across the board ? No answer other than "blah blah blah...enjoy swagbucking...".
Enjoy it ? Yeah right. Idiots:cool:
I had the same experience as the first paragraph.had been getting £5.00 for nearly 3 years.then ordered £25 in Sept after getting a couple of large paying TS surveys.took over a month to get it released & warned not to use bots or other unauthorised ways of watching TV.
well I wouldn't know what.where or how to use a 'bot',am on a slow 9 yr old pc that freezes if more than 3 windows are open at a time.I also had captchas on every search win and every other round of TV. while it was 'under review' so they can turn it off and on when they want.
However I do appreciate how easy it is to rack up SBs compared to other sites,& I got my grandchildrens Christmas & Birthday presents from Amazon, courtesy of SB0 -

To be honest, this is what it boils down to...
Slightly OT but I know Amazon have a horrific tax history, and I'm betting Swagbucks don't pay any as they're based in America...
So the burden of tax lies with the individual user.
