Swagging in 2013 - Part 1

Still waiting on bloody Change4Life though :rotfl:
I'll need a lot of transfats to help me through the waiting game
I was credited almost straight away for that one, I'm sure.
I just checked and it is in the credited list and I didn't raise a ticket for it.
Maybe they think your life is fine as it is...

Thanks for the warning Mrs YB. I've been on SwagBucks for 6 months now and recent fraudulent attempts on my credit card have made me take stock of things. I have only used the credit card twice in the past four months as I am trying to clear the balance - both times for offers on here related to gambling sites...
For me, being credited for offers and downloading games is the exception rather than the rule so is it worth it? I have downloaded games, apps and toolbars and not been credited
Hmm - I would never give out my credit card number just for a few swag-pence. I would also never install this dodgy software on my main pc : I did set up windows on an old machine I had lying around, just for installing this malware, but it rarely credited, and just took so long (because the machine was so slow) that I probably won't bother again.Yesterday afternoon I went through everything on my computer and deleted everything that was on my computer as a result of trying to get SwagBucks. It is amazing the difference it has made to the speed of my laptop.
Yeah, it's shocking how much spyware these things install. Windows does have a system-checkpoint and restore feature, which would allow you to rewind the state of the computer back as it was before you did the install. You should probably also at least set up a separate user account for anything you do install.I get hundreds of Spam emails every day now which is obviously a result of filling in all those pages of questions when you try for a competition offer. Answering No to all of them doesn't seem to affect Spam emails or telephone calls.
There are various ways you can set up temporary email addresses. mailinator.com is a good one, though many sites know about it and disqualify it. I believe yahoo also allow you to setup one-time email addresses.
My ISP is plusnet, which has a "catchall" address - I can use any-word-i-like@mydomain.plus.com and it will arrive in my catchall@mydomain.plus.com account, where I can just delete them in batches from time to time. If anyone is very persistent, I can single out that one address for special treatment.
Obviously you need to use a system that does let you see the first email from them, in case you have to acknowledge it in some way.
I also never give out a phone number to these sites - I really couldn't be doing with receiving junk calls / texts. This does mean I miss out on a lot of offers, though. I do have a "landline" number allocated (free) from sipgate.co.uk, but most sites seem to know that it's not a proper number.
I do have an old live sim - I might start giving out its number. But it does have some credit on it, and I wouldn't want that to be used up in receiving premium texts, or voicemail charges, or whatever.0 -

Though I see now there are some that are only on swagbucks, or slightly more generous there.

Another slow day. No TS or DS so far. Can't do any surveys on the Trial Pay wall as it wants details from me, including a ZIP code, tried entering my UK postcode and it didn't work. Plodding on with SBTV and home page videos but it takes ages with my rubbish internet connection.

Morning! Hope everyone is managing okay with all this snow.
I've been credited for that Guilt Trip trailer survey I did the other week. Very pleased as I hadn't raised a ticket.
No TS for me today, but have just completed a rather boring DS on TV companies. Mummy to an amazing little girl
