There are excellent suit makers there, I find the stitching a higher quality than elsewhere in Asia. I'm 6 ft 5 and got an excellent suit made - about £150, but great material, fitting, etc etc. I know you can get suits for 20pence elsewhere, but the fit was excellent. I can advise the suitmaker if you wish.

I bought back a mini film camera and 1 inch screen. A bit mental, but cheap! I also went to a Shanghai Tan sample sale for my other half - wow.

i go hong kong every year for a month or so...top of my list to visit before coming home for bargains would be...

temple street night market...(10 packs of silk boxers for my other half for around hk$150)..there is also a massive cheap jean shop there that do trendy and classic styles aswell as alterations.

    ladies market (mongkok mtr station).

sam sui po markets for electrical and anything computing.

if your looking for some fitted suits or shirts then go tsim sha sui where you will find plenty of asians hawking your business....depending on quality you could expect a decent suit and fit for around hk$1,000 (around £70)

last tip is to have your dimsum late afternoon where most will charge half price. hth

You are sooo lucky. I went to HK in January 2007 to visit a friend who was living out there for 6 months.

There is so much shopping to be done. My OH bought a playstation 3 and a game for £240. I bought a sony camera and saved myself £110 compaired with the Uk prices.

The ladies market is also fantastic with loads of designer handbags, copies of course.

You should go to The Peninsula for afternoon tea which was about £14 each.

I wasn't that impressed with Disney however if you have children they will love it. Not many rides for adults.

The Po Lin Buddha is also worth a visit. There is a restaurant called "Jaspa's" which is simular to our TGI's but much better.

If you go to Stanley market they its worth walking the Dragons back and then going to stanley market. A nice place to eat is the boat house but you may have to book. If you get Time Out, Hong Kong they have all the details.

Hope you have a fantastic time, we did and would love to go back.

It was at their main shop (in Central???) - not their little Hotel shops. It's not an ongoing thing, but they have several through the year. If your daughter lives there she should nip in and ask when the next one is. Some interesting stuff!

Thanks Sam Bee. She lives just up the escalator from the shop so I will tell her to go in and ask.
