What is the norm? Each case differs.

Did you really need to bring up a thread from 2 years ago to make a pointless comment like that?

The norm is for the redress to go against the unpaid debt unless a collection agency bought the debt and it cannot be transferred back to the original lender.

Statute barring of debt doesnt matter when it comes to PPI redress. It can still go against the unpaid debt. That is the norm.

Which in this case it didn't. Who cares how long ago this case was it is comforting for others to read this type of success stories. This person has similar circumstances to myself and on my thread you gave me the same negative responses. I to have been informed that my complaint has been upheld. As I said ' each case differs. People were robbed from the banks years ago and I am happy to hear all success stories no matter how old the threads are.

This is more of a case of the person robbing the banks by taking loans they admitted they couldn't afford to repay, which is effectively stealing money.
I wouldn't really call getting PPI refunded a success story. The real success stories are the people who did research before taking out insurance and never bought it uncessarily, then you never have to worry about making a miss selling claim in the future!.

Odd the way this old thread keeps getting bumped. Post #16 was in response to one posted in 2015 (which itself was in response to conversation from 2014).

The thread was started in 2012 and, since the OP long ago got his answer, should now be considered closed.

However, feel free to respond in 2018, Clint163. ;)
