New Years Eve reductions.

  • Just got back from 'Sainsbury's Local' - they were starting to reduce loads of stock just as I was leaving but being NYE i didn't have any time to spare otherwise I would have snapped those bargains straight up!

Only thing I got was 2 packets of taste the difference sausages were £2.89 per pack of 8 now 60p.

Sainsbury's Local & Tesco Express are open till 10 tonight - think they have better bargains as most people only use them as a 'top-up' shop.

    Happy New Year :)

Mr T had some reductions going early today - called in at 9.30 am and am now the proud owner of 16 chicken thighs (half price rather than a mega reduction.)
All I need to do now is work out how to fit the things in the freezer. Or get a new freezer.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Did the same circuit again at 6.30. Asda, Morrison's and Lidl's were all shut. Nothing decent left in the Co-op. But got loads of cooked chicken legs and breasts, 5 bags full for £2.00!! So that'll do our teas for a couple of nights, with a bit of rice and some veg.

Our Tesco Express is open 8am - 10pm tomorrow, so probably not worth trekking out now in the hope of yellow stickers.

just a note to you all - I experimented with freezing and defrosting one of the alcohol creams the other night. Very successful.

  • Our tesco is open today, but last night it looked like a plague of locusts had descended. No party food left at all, bare shelves in the freezers. Lots of chicken breast and chicken thighs in the reduced section though, so I filled my boots.
