New Years Eve reductions.

Just did a circuit of Asda, Lidl, Tesco, Morrison's and the Co-op. All just after 3pm.

And there's no give in the stores yet. Only found bread reduced in Lidl, and 500g of chicken breast for £2 (half price) in the Co-op.

Will do another circuit at 7pm and see if they cave in by then.

I got 2 packs of 12 sausages (Richmond) foe 10p each and a 50p pineapple in Asda about 2pm. Just wanted to get home so not waiting around on the off chance. I've barely room in the freezer for the sausages as it is but couldn't say no :o

Morrisons had loads of party food reduced to half price at 11am this morning. They had to give up one of the promotional ends to put it all in.

We did well in the big Mr T's near us earlier, they had loads of fresh stuff reduced. Not super super cheap but most of it was well less than half price and we got enough to fill up our freezer.

They had so much reduced stuff the staff were having trouble finding somewhere to put it all!

Nothing in M&S at 4pm looked like I was too late. Got sliced cooked ham at Mr T, was £6 reduced to 60p. Sausage Rolls all 10 p from deli counter. Nothing much at all!

I did quite well seeing as i'd only popped in for some washing powder.

My local Asda is a small sized Asda, almost Tesco Express size but ive always got good reductions there. My finds included:

Party packets of cocktail sausages 5p.
    Large cherry pie 5p
    Pan Au Chocolat's 5p each
Box of 4 fruit scones 5p
Four cheese cold pasta dish 5p
They had lots of quorn turkey and stuffing sandwich fillings for 5p and lots more bakery items reduced to 5p, but i only took what i liked out of the selection.

I then went onto Morrisons and got a pack of 20 iced ring doughnuts for 35p :O, a pack of 6 baguette rolls for 19p (sell by date 1st January so still lovely and fresh), 4 warm chicken legs for £2 which we've eaten for tea tonight and a pack of paninis for 9p. Again there were loads of cakes being reduced to 15p a box, but i would have no need for these and i'm already giving my Mum and Nan some of my bargains whilst they are still in date.

  • Popped into Asda, for a coffee. Thought we would have mooch around the store, didn't expect many reductions, as they are opne tomorrow.

Heaving with bargain hunters and plenty of bargains to be had. My freezer is full to bursting, so had to restrict myself to items dated tomorrow and beyond. Made up a good cheeseboard selection (5 cheese for just under £1.50. 3 garlic baguettes for 50p and 2 large cheese and ham quiches for 50p each. Some of the reduced items were dated 05/01/12!!!!
Plenty of flavoured (alcohol) creams for 10p each. Have bought these before and thrown them away, so avoided.
MSE Addiction, should come with a health warning:money:
  • Did the rounds in my Mums home town at 4pm & mine at 5pm. No such luck. I managed to get two salmon fillets for £1, Cherries for £50p and cauliflower cheese for 50p. I was a little annoyed as a couple who was speaking to the reducer got EVERYTHING off her trolley. Fruit, Veg, Fish... EVERYTHING. Me and this other woman were left with kiwis. Turns out they caught her coming out the back! Must be quicker next time.
Now I am employed, lets get rid of this student debt! :D:D
