I'm saying the majority of InvestNI FDI jobs in the last 10 years have been call centre based.
Actually this is what the National Audit office said, not me.
I never referenced Invest NI in the first place, but you keep referring back to them?
There have been many many jobs created in northern ireland not through invest ni.
Have a look at nijobs.com. If you're right, then we should be seeing mainly call centre jobs, if i'm right, they'll be in the minority.0 -

So you are saying this development off only 23 houses have all be sold off plan?
I'm seeing what i'm seeing - theres a development there sold out and with people waiting. I know people whos daughter has been able to get one and thats how it is.
If you even look at that huge development on the way out of magheralin towards moira - previously deserted, derelict, now many houses sold and many more being built. I am seeing quite a few developments like that.
Therefore, it looks fairly clear to me that "some" houses are selling. If thats the case then it shows there is "some" movement in the market.
Are you seeing derelict developments as they were five years ago or are you seeing houses being built and sold?0 -

You pointed me to the top 100 companies.
Do you think they haven't setup here through InvestNI?
They are InvestNI clients, any "new" jobs will be InvestNI sponsored, so will be included in their figures.
And there hasn’t been “many” jobs created in NI. Not going by the employment stats anyway. Can you find an announcement that hasn't been invest sponsored?

So any price rises a consumer can afford are a good thing?
Energy? Oil?
No.
Again, you're taking me out of context.
"Overspending" is a bad thing.
Overspending got us to the point where we thought we could all afford to max out our credit cards, pay for cars on the never never and pay two fortunes for houses and it would all be "ok".
A small controlled increase in the price of anything is not "overspending"0 -

Of course there's movement. I'm seeing movement. I'm seeing increased transactions.
I'm not seeing house price inflation.0 -

Uh huh.
I didnt say it was an example of house prices increasing - i said it was an example of movement in the housing market which was likely to be a precursor to price increases.0 -
Indeed - a lot of people 'cant afford' their own house now through lack of a reasonable deposit or not meeting the lending criteria.
Therefore dropping the value of houses further wont resolve that.
Maybe we need to move away from the mentality that people have 'the right' to own their own house?
Just because some individual cannot raise the finances to buy something does not mean its not 'worth it'.
If i had a £200K ferrari that i was going to sell to someone for £100K and they could only raise £50K of a loan, it doesnt mean the Ferrari is only worth £50K.
I there's no one else who can buy the car apart from me, and you want to sell it. Than at that moment in time it is worth what I am willing to pay, not the figure you have made up in your head.
Paul, is a 5% deposit too much to expect?0 -

You've got me confused here - on one hand you're saying that "most investNI backed jobs are call centre based" but now you're saying that these top 100 companies are all InvestNI clients, but clearly only a small amount of the companies are call centre related?
Have you argued yourself round in a circle again?0 -

Sorry but why is it a good thing????????
I didn't say it was "overspending".0
