Vent: Grrr Boohoo

I returned a dress to Boohoo on 7th December and they told me leave it 21 days before they log it into the warehouse and issue a refund. I've waited the 21 days and now today they have changed their mind and have said 30 days but still won't confirm they have received the return. They say they need the 30 days to check for quality control but to be honest even an email saying they have received the item back would be a bonus.

Did you send the item back via a tracked method? Can you check if the item has been delivered?

I guess they cannot refund, if they have not received the item.

I returned it via the post office, had a receipt but hubby in his wisdom shredded it. I was hoping I would not have to prove it had been returned, but now have no proof. Won't be doing that again in a hurry :(

It was a free returns and the label that they attached to the parcel had it's small self attached to the printed receipt which was shredded :/

maybe it's just delayed due to loads of returns.

to be honest they do take up to month to refund and they take back £2 for 'admin', so I never ordered from them again after that.

I wonder if your Post Office could print off a duplicate proof of posting receipt?

I'm unsure as I've never had to do it, I'm a sad old guy who keeps all his receipts and paperwork, not allowing anyone else to put their hands on it all :)

I've had problems with Boohoo before (and not bothered using them since) luckily I paid with paypal and ended up have to raise a case to get a refund.
Not much use to OP now but if anyone else is reading, I would certainly recommend paying via paypal for additional security should something go awry, Boohoo's customer service is awful.
  • I have had a similar situation with BooHoo, sent goods back which they claimed they never received and I couldnt find my proof of posting, I never ordered from them again but after that instance I use collect plus where possible or keep all my posting receipts safe until the refund is in my account.

Boo Hoo are execptionally bad for this.......
