Mistral Worktops - Any experience?

I am considering a Mistral worktop for my new kitchen. Does anybody have any experience? Are there any other similar products I should consider?

I have quite a large worktop (9m lenth) and a tight budget. I don't want wood or laminate so acrylic seems like a good choice. It seems Mistral costs about £160 / metre from Kitchen Appliance Centre (who appear to get good online feedback as a internet retailer). This seems reasonable compared to £200 / metre for Ikea composite layered acrylic with MDF. I think Mistral's solid design is better than Ikea's layered design - right?

Can I (a competent DIYer) fit and join Mistral easily (including cut outs)?

Mistral worktops are definitely not for the faint hearted and not for your average DIY-er. To get a good finish you need about £1000 worth of pprofessional kit.

Its not a bad product but only (and only) if its fitted to a very high standard.

Its not a product we sell or recommend but I have seen finished worktops and they look good.
