Pernie - Kenya is indeed a great place for safari. I went to Masai Mara with my mum last year and it was ridiculous, we saw the big 5 within half an hour of entering the park! You'll want to time it with the wildebeast migration if you can. Depending on the pirate situation when you go you can also make a trip to Lamu for some island paradise, and of course soak up the night life in Nairobi.
Ah yes I remember this! Thank you for the tips I am going to copy & paste that into a doc so I can collate lots of tips when I get round to planning it all, sounds like our African leg is well on it's way though!Good luck with your test today & thanks for starting the thread x

Carrie I guess I missed what has upset you so much? Hope that now you have a plan things seem brighter. I read somewhere recently that there is no worry or problem that has ever been solved by worrying about it! Makes sense huh?
Thanks DNMS. I'm ok, nothing particular has upset me. Just getting a bit overwhelmed in general and second guessing myself about certain plans/decisions.

WelshWoofer that did make me chuckle
Carrie I get like that sometimes ... everything seems to just get too much (and that's when I tend to start over obsessive with spreadsheets etc:o).
Well, glad to say Maisie's had her 2nd walk of the day as it's not that nice out!:(
I'm really cold - don't know if because it's windy it just feels colder (?) as the house is the same temp as it always is ... I can see me in the bath very shortly & then with the PJs onPlanning a night snuggled on the sofa, packet of cheese puffs to hand;)

CM – hope tonight is better with the little one
Newly Frugal - Have you looked at sim only? I changed my contact on Friday and got a much better deal (free virgin mobile to virgin mobile calls)
Sailor Sam – good luck with the PoF….that sounds exactly like a colleague of mine
Hugs to Carrie
Karb – hope you feel better soon
Determined – loving the smiley’s
Hugs to those that need them and hi to newbies (and returning DFWers)
So far today I have/will:
• Meals from stores
• Split ticket to work (saving about £5)
• Went for a drink and a gossip after work but had a soft drink so cheapish (I paid for friends drink) – avoided buying food at the pub and ate my sandwich on the train home instead
• Put all coins into sealed pot and giant coke bottle
• Checked banking – no change but moved money into DD account as DD’s are due to go out tomorrow
• Worked on a budget spreadsheet for the year ahead
• Worked out what we are having tonight – creamy chicken and lentil curry……it’s quite luxurious but made with low fat crème fraiche ;-)
• As I am not going out tonight, treated us to 3x Euromillions tickets
• Worked on college work for 3 hours
• Had a laugh watching the Muppets Movie (ok, I must confess that I am 33 but love the Muppets)
• Checked Quidco
Umm, that’s it for me
See you all in 2013 !!!
