Early DLA payment?

Hello.
I get paid my DLA weekly and my payment day is a Wednesday so my next payment day would be 2nd January. However, I've just checked my bank account and my DLA has gone in today but surely the 2nd January isn't a bank holiday so the payment should go in then as normal?
Has this happened to anyone else?

Mine is due about them also, but my bank don't update till 3-4am now, sometimes can be later (It use to show when it went in straight away at 12am before) which is really annoying so I can't check till later, I'm all confussed and worried so got to stay up till it goes in, plus have to get up early :mad::eek:0

My bank used to not update until about 3:30am but recently they've been updating accounts at 12:30am.
I've found something online about DLA payments due on the 2nd January being paid on the 31st December but it has "Scotland only" next to it so I assume it's only for Scottish recipients as the 2nd January is a bank holiday in Scotland.DLA is paid today!
Do you mean the Christmas/New Year DLA is paid today or that DLA is, in general, paid on Mondays?
I've been in receipt of DLA since 2005 and have always been paid on a Wednesday. Sorry, your post is a little unclear.:o2019 Wins

My DLA suppose to be paid this Wednesday but I got it today in the bank arrive after midnight0

It seems should get ESA payment today, but not sure about my DLA, have to wait and see, staying up making sure at least ESA goes in, not going good after chamomile tea 0

I phone up DWP yesterday saying my next ESA will be January 2nd because my last payment was made on the 19th December, so I won't getting it today 31st December.0
