sky fiber help

will be getting sky fiber in about a week and should get up to 40mbs. My question is about wireless network speeds as i have a WD live media streaming device and wondered whether the sky fiber router will be fast enough to stream 1080p video wirelessly from a PC up stairs to my TV downstairs.
4kWp, South facing, 16 x phono solar panels, Solis inverter, Lincolnshire.

    good question ,
what do you get now ,do's it work alright now ,what internal speeds do you get

it should work but you really nether know until you try it ,its might have a week signal compared to your old one ,,it might be fine ,
but if your on fiber you cal always change it or hard wire it in which always work better and not the mains plug in stuff, they do not work in some houses ,eg mine
there or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff

Your best bet would be to go over to the sky help and support forums on their website. There will be thousands of sky fiber users and no doubt one will know the answer to your question. Id assume it would be no problem though. Your new router will no doubt handle more than 40mbs. I also wonder if the sky router is like virgin as in you could just put the router into a modem mode and just use your existing router for wireless functions if that already works.

Sky fibre would use a VDSL modem supplied by BT OR which would connect to the Sky hub.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
