    Morning everyone

    Happy new Year

Hi PLMBL and WelshDreamer - thanks for popping by :D

I have just updated my spreadsheets. Isn't sad that its usually the first thing i do :o
everything looks ok for the next month, though my overpayment is likley to be lower than expected :(

    Had a few unexpected costs.
My Cat Panda had an anal gland infection about three weeks ago that required antibiotics. It cost £48.odd so we didnt claim on insurance as was below the excess.

It wasn't getting better so we took her back on Saturday and the infection has now spread to her skin :( Cue more injections and a further two week course of antibiotics (another £52) and a very depressed kitty who has to wear a collar thingy for two weeks.
Its so sad to see her sitting there trying to lick her paw so she can clean herself only to end up licking the collar :(
Vet said if it doesn't clear up in two weeks they will have to do a biopsy :(

We also have to pay the balance of £195 on our holiday on March . I cant wait till then :j

I have been thinking about my weight (dont we all???). Its really started to creep up recently and i am not happy. all in all to get back to weight i was when we got married (almost 6 years ago now) i need to lose 34 lbs

I have always done this through Slimming world which is Fab. I have been umming and ahhing about going back to group. I can do it on my own but i do a lot better going to group.
There is a group on Saturday mornings down the road from me so i think i will start again. £4.95 per week though :(
My first target is to lose 1 stone by my holiday (11 weeks on Friday) So it should be doable.

I will use this diary to chart y progress in both Debt busting and weight busting.

    Hello

its been a couple of days since my last update - being back at work is really tiring after almost two weeks off.

Haven't really spent much in the last few days. Just the odd tea or toast in work and fuel.

Im pretty sure that my debt might increase a little on the weekend :(
Our car is on the way out and we NEED a car as i work 12 miles away from home. We are going to trade center wales on Sunday.
We will have to get a car on finance :( (for the first time ever - we normally have cheap runarounds) which i am loathe to do but needs must.
Hoping to get one for around £3k - All OH needs to do is 6 nights shifts overtime to pay this off so i will be cracking the whip :D

I apologise if my grammar and/or spelling is bad but i have just drunk a bottle of red wine - mulled. As i rarely drink it has really gone to my head

Im making the most of it as i am off to SW in the morning. 9:30 weigh in and i will see what my starting point is. I expect to be at least 25 lbs over what i was when i got married 5.5 years ago (this will be my target).

    Hello
i really must get into the habit of updating my diary. Im always on the forum reading other peoples diaries but end up logging off before i get to mine.

Well went to SW and have 26lbs to lose.
First weigh in was on Sat and i lost 1lb. 25 to go.

Our cat Panda went back to the vet and everything is all clear :D she is so happy to have the cone removed. she keep on running round the house all hyper.

We did end up getting a new car :j however the spend was higher than i wanted :(
we got a 3 yr old focus Zietec with 33k miles. really mint with FSH
i have never owned a car this new before. It is lovely to drive.
We paid a deposit of £1600 and got the rest on finance :(

Paying the deposit means that the O/D will end up being around £700 at month end
    B/Card is also a little higher :o

For now i am ignoring the debt of the car (just ignoring from my totals) and the loan. Im not so worried about these as they have a definitive end date. I am just going to concentrate on the cards.

so debt totals are / will be at month end

    Very - £192.95
    Argos - £442.47
    B/Card - £4,181.78
    Halifax - £1,820.00
    Creation J - £4,699.00
    Creation C - £1,584.00
    O/Draft - £720.20

    Total - £13,640.40

All payments have been made for the month and interest charged (only the B/Card)
  • Hi

    Had a fantastic day today.

Come home from work to a letter from First plus re PPI claim
They are giving us £4177.35 :j:j:j:j:j:j:j

was only expecting a few hundred quid.

So that will clear the barclaycard :j

we just have to sign the form, return it and wait for the Cheque :D
Also i signed up with william hill bingo through quidco. £21 cash back when you play £10. Three days after doing it the cash back has been approved and is waiting to be paid. I also ended up winning £43 - so £54 up
