New Year = New Start

Well as the title suggests a New year is just begging for a whole new start

I started a diary before but although i always seem to be on the site i spend all my time lurking on other peoples diaries and no time posting on my own.

I will be more in control and organised in 2013.
This means posting regularly.
I will post my updated SOA shortly and my debt totals

I have joined the pay off all your debt in 2013 challenge and i'm aiming for £13,236.09 as my total - Already £274.37 paid :j

Was expecting a NSD today but as DS2 was getting very hyper and the weather here was just awful i ended up taking him to a play farm.
Entry was £5.95 and i spent £6.05 on drinks for me (coffee as it was soooo cold in there) and DS2. :o He had lots of fun though and really tired him out. He fell asleep in the car on the wasy home. Bless

On a more MSE note i noticed that i needed to get some more flea treatments and worming tablets for the cats. Last time i bought some Advantage it was £18.99 for 4 pipettes in Pets at home, and Drontal was £6.99 for two tablets

I found a website where i could get the Advantage for £9.49 for 4 pipettes and Drontal for £1.67 per tablet

They had an offer on for 10% off advantage and a further offer for 10% off your first order and free delivery.

So i stocked up and got enough to last for the whole year for two cats (so 6 boxes of Advantage and 8 Drontal tablets) all for £57.61. :j
Pets at home would have cost me £141.90
so i saved £84.29 over what i would have normally spent throughout the year
SOOOO chuffed :T

Hey Ammeretto, I'm subscribing! Like you I seem to have trouble posting on my own diary, but 2013 I'm getting back on track! Good luck :)

  • Hi Ameretto, would you mind telling me which site you've ordered your cat treatments from please? We have a cat and a dog and I'm shocked how much flea/worming stuff costs :eek:. It's no cheaper if you buy it from the vet's either, they know that 'cos you love your pets you'll pay it!!
Cheers and good luck with your debt busting ;)

    Hi Scuff

    thanks for posting
i will have to find your diary

maybe we can keep each other on track :D
  • Hi Savvykaz

    It was this site http://www.medicanimal.com/

i also went through quidco for a further 5% off

i think the code for 10% off first order is 1DEC1. Im not sure when it expires though.

It is ridiculous the amount that the vets charge. such a mark up.
It is good mind knowing that i wont have to buy anymore for a whole year :D

    • Chase up first plus re PPI refund
    • Make sure that all choccies have been eaten by midnight. Think the kids might need to help with this one. Can anyone say Sugar rush? Starting diet on Tuesday :(

Today has been a little spendy
Went to specsavers for DS2 to get a new pair of glasses as he managed to lose his current ones. We then could also get another pair at half price so they cost £32

We also had a takeaway tonight costing £25.00

I have also bought some stuff through amazon but that was paid for by christmas amazon vouchers.
  • Hi ammeretto, just popping by to say hello.

I've also submitted meter readings and had a takeaway tonight! What thrilling lives we lead eh?! I can't promise to have all the chocolate eaten tonight though, we have mountains of the stuff!

    Happy new year Xx
