do you know if you use a 0% credit card to pay bills if they count as a purchase....

Yes, normally they do.0

things which may not count as a purchase include:
cash advances
transfers to a bank account
paying off a loan
paying off debt on another card
travellers cheques and similar items such as loading a pre-paid card
gambling transactions
credit card cheques (if they still exist)
pretty much everything else counts as a purchaseWe need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

Before you pay your bill by CC, check carefully that there is no additional premium for card payments. Many utilities and many councils charge an extra 2 or 3 % if paying by card.0
