Housing and ct benefit help please...

Below is a table on my local council website regarding ct/hb .
can anyone help me fathom it out....please.
me and oh are 29 and 31. we have 3 children 10,5 and 4(10 yo gets mid rate dla)
our rent is £80 a week.
oh has out in a claim for jsa ib but i think it needs changed to jsa cb. our council tax is band A.
also i work and earn on average £530 a month. (6.80 per hour job)
we currently get carers allowance for my son but that is due to stop in february...
any help greatly appreciated thanks

Gateshead have an online CTB/HB calculator which should answer your questions - http://online.gateshead.gov.uk/benefitscalculator/I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

They decide about what benefit is claimed for, not your partner. If youf partner has paid enough NI, then they claim for contribution based. It is only if she/he hasnt paid enough then it goes to income based. That's the rules, there isnt a choice.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
