just a query , i have paid off my loan and i think ive made a mistake and wish to reverse my decision and get my money back , so i'd like to get my original loan back and carry on with the payments. It was only £4,000 and i have messaged my bank with this request but alas no answer as yet. Can banks do this or have i lost this money?? I have applied for another loan on the off chance but the bank has declined that..please help..thanks:)

Ooops they dont have to, if they also declined you they are not happyDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Why would you want to do this?
No, once the account is settled I think it is incredibly unlikely they will unwind the payment.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
i tried that originally but the bank declined that aswell , but that was over 6 months ago i tried that0

The bank will be very pleased that you have settled and will reward you with a nice "settled" in your credit reference file. - That's all you can expect.
You can apply to your bank for a new loan, which you might, or might not get. (But don't be greedy and ask for 2 1/2 times your previous loan).
The bank will certainly not refund the settlement payment, because you happened to have changed your mind.0 -
How much do you earn?
Any missed payments on anything including this loan?

How did you intend to repay your debt to your friend?
Why do you need another £10,000?0 -
to hopefully get said loan of £10000 and pay them back..as its a joint account could i use the ' the partner didnt know about paying it off' card?0

So you were intending borrowing £10,000 and repaying your friend. What is the other £7,000 for?0
