Glued on wing mirror??!

Hey,
I recently purchased a used car (approx 2 months ago).
Just realized that the driver seat mirror has another mirror glued on the top of what looks like the smashed original mirror.

How would this affect an MOT? About how much would it cost to do the job 'properly'

Will not affect the MOT. To do the job properly £10 - £200 depending on the car and what is actually broken.

Thanks! I was just a bit concerned as you can see a little of the mirror behind due to uneven matching. The mirror electrically adjusts perfectly fine so fingers crossed for a relatively easy fix. Il keep an eye incase the mirror is actually slipping, if not il probably let it be.

My Mum's car has had this for at least 5 years and it's never been an issue with the MOT.

Pull the whole mirror off and buy one on eBay to replace it. On 99% of cars the glass should snap off/clip back on.

A previous car had an MOT advisory that the door mirror was cracked. The mechanic advised me just to get a stick-on mirror. It was far cheaper than an "official" Fiat replacement and simple to fix.

Next MOT no problem. Lasted quite a few years before I sold the car.

Nothing wrong with stick-on replacement mirrors.

Much cheaper than genuine replacements on a lot of cars.
