    I used washing up liquid and a toothbrush on mine.. the cuffs were grafted and the collar.. they came up fine.

    i add a bit of vanish to the wash, which seemed to work fab on my dd lilac coat.

    Put a couple of towels in with the coat.
    The towels will help rub the marks out of the coat.
    Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.

    Do not use any conditioner in your wash as the coat will not then be waterproof - you can however if need be buy re-waterproofer spray from outdoor suppliers.
