My tablet options - what should I do?

I'm trying to decide between the folowing options for a tablet that I can use whilst 'on the go':
1. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Wi-Fi version for £237 plus £50 cashback. Then i can use the unlimited data tethering on my mobile plan to make it fully mobile, albeit with a little extra hassle of doing the tethering (which might also make my mobile battery run out faster).
2. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 3G version for around £350 plus £50 cashback. Then I have the option of either getting a data plan such as giffgaff for around £10 when i feel i am about to have a heavy usage month and want to avoid tethering, or just using the unlimited data Wi-Fi from my mobile plan (as above) but having the option of using a 3G data plan if needed.
3. Something entirely different?? I just don't want to pay over the odds for something fashionable/cool i.e. iPad
Opinions appreciated.
Thanks

Option 1. You've already indicated you dont want to spend for something you dont need to by ruling out the Note2 and the "i" stuff0

Note has more power than Tab .
I returned Tab for Note ..
Tab positive Jelly Bean update is out Note yet to roll out JB though it has started .
JB is much smoother and faster on both Tab and Note .
Cash back is something that i would not guarantee as it has been withdrawn by Samsung as per their T&C .
Saying that it may continue until end date 31-12-12 just without any point of sale reference .

It all comes down to personal choice.
Hubby got me the Tab 2 3g version for Christmas, and I love it.
Got an Ovivo sim card in, so far the signal has been pretty good.0
