AA breakdown cover??

So we've been customers that long now that they've quoted us based on some "Gold" membership.

What does this provide over the standard membership?

According to the renewal quote, we have roadside relay & the breakdown is:

Roadside: £62.72
Relay: £59.41
Family Cover: £96.61
Total: £218.74

We have 4 people on ours.

All we want is roadside relay, nothing fancy. I can't find "roadside relay" on their website though. http://www.theaa.com/breakdown-cover/uk-breakdown/view-options.do

Best thing i can find to match is:

Roadside & then adding "National Recovery"
Next page: select 4 people

Total: £154.50

This is quite a difference from £218.74. What does the extra actually give us?

The renewal is February. Can we get in touch & make a deal on todays price of £154.50?

  • national recovery is relay. Gold m/ship is for loyalty & offers things like key insurance & key insurance + other things. Give them a ring & ask, can't promise anything though. They are open from 9 - 5 say & sunday, 8-8 mon - fri, except ny day.

haggle with them every year or look up alternatives and cashback options, direct line, rac, green flag, topcashback etc.

Not interested in the key cover

I think for what it is, we'd be better cancelling & signing up as new customers getting £70 cashback through TCB. That'd take the £154 down to to £84, split between 4 is £21 each. Bit nicer than £54.50 each.
