So if I started on the 5 quid a day challenge, does that mean that every day I need to raise 5 quid, or do I need to make 365*5 = 1825 quid over the course of a year, that will add up to a fiver on average per day?

I've got a couple ideas so far, i've got a lot of stuff on ebay currently (35 items)

I've got a whole potful of euros/dollars/cents that I think you can send away for sterling on some websites?

Looked at doing the amazon trade in also, a lot of my books dont come up though. Are there any alternatives for book selling?

Any other ideas to help me along?

it is more about trying to make £5 per day, but not all of us manage to hit our daily targets. However we may make £20 one day and this will count for 4 days, but we will still try to make money over those 4 days, by doing surveys, swagbucks, etc.

There is Green Metropolis but unless it is a much in demand book, you are not likely to get much for it. Try Facebook selling, look for your local buy/sell/wanted/free page in your area and see if anyone wants to buy your books.

    or gumtree.

with the money, probably about 5/6 months back we discussed how to exchange loose coins for sterling. I will have to look for it and find you the link. I have some that I would like to see if worth any hard cash too.

As said before, have a look at the first post lots of ideas on there.

Also if you have a smartphone have a look at the upyourincome board for ways to get your phone to pay. check ins with Quidco, I made £7.xx something over last 3 months.

About £7.50 with getjam, £15 with a phone app, where they want to see what websites I visit.

first post has lots of idea, joining survey sites, mystery shopping, writing for sites, shop and scan, etc, etc.

Have a look around your home, anything you really don't need anymore? Try facebook selling.

Oh if you have a smartphone, there are apps you can install to make money. On the UP your income board, is a thread for Android phones for apps that make you money.

Hi you mention the Up your Income board having a Android Apps that make money section. I had a look but couldn't see it. Could you post a link, or PM me please.

Definitely interested in the iphone apps/earning! I'm on my phone a lot, in fact I have a work phone and my own phone, so could possibly earn twice!

Posted my ebay items and one thing which I thought was a parcel went as a large letter so I've made £1.50 more than I thought. Also resisted getting a coffee while out and banked a Christmas cheque from my Aunt.
  • Presuming this is averaged out over the month then i'll put down for £5 a day.
Roughly 6k of debt , determined to have at least half'd it by 2013

Edit 2016 - now have a mortgage so more than 6k! credit cards are low and manageable.

Hi £63 added today from ebay and Folksy sales and from the regular £5 from the Halifax. Having a good start which will hopefully make up for dry days further on in the month.
