Is this possible???

I'm giving my old printer to my neighbour as I have a new one, a Christmas present. The old one is a Canon pixma i4000 and still works perfectly even though quite old. However, her laptop has Windows 7 and so I can't install the printer on it.

I think I have to download a driver to make it install on her laptop so I wondered if anybody knows of a site to do this and if it's even possible. It seems a shame to get rid of the printer when it works. I have XP on my PC which the printer was linked to.

I'm not computer minded so please use easy terms!!

Not sure if my Canon i560 is similar vintage, but I installed it on Win7 64bit just by using 'add printer' and then letting 'Windows update' button take care of everything.

ps same approach also worked for HP Laserjet 1320 and HP Laserjet 2420
