    hi,
does any1 know when asda chocolates and biscuits are going down?

I got biscuits reduced to £1.50 and brandy snaps 75p on the 28th and I saw on another thread they were reduced further yesterday, 75p for the biscuits. I went back today and my store had next to nothing left there were SELs for lots of cheap chocolate too but nothing left.
  • I have seen lots of posts on hukd about cheap chocs and biscuits in Asda. I went to Asda today and the seasonal aisle where all the Christmas chocs and biscuits were had been cleared and filled with cleaning products. There were some Lindt Santas by the tills for 25p and boxes of mini chocolate party rings also 25p. In the reduced section there were gingerbread men and kp nuts but that was about it.

I agree. There are so many posts on hukd about deals at Asda, but neither of my local stores had much. Like yours, the seasonal aisles had been filled with cleaning products and there wasn't much to be found elsewhere.

Brandy snaps were one of the few things my store had today - down to 38p but there was only a couple of boxes left... Curiously, one of my local Asda stores had the various flavoured fresh creams for 5p two days ago but the store I popped into today were selling the same ones at a 'reduction' price of 50p. They clearly don't apply the same reductions across their stores. :o

At my store (Sainsburys) we had:
    . Lindt bears - 89p
. 376g boxes of Black Magic - £2.10 - the half boxes were almost twice the price!!!
    . Famous Names liquor chocs - £1.50
    . Thorntons Mint Collection - £c1.80
    . Cadburys Snow Bites - 38p
    . 100g bags of the mini Lindors - 59p

    Not many bargains

With Asda and Sainsburys, depending how many of the products they have left, they reduce them accordingly. Loads - cheap. A handful - not as cheap. They do this so they can clear their shelves asap to replace them with either normal stuff or in the seasonal aisles for CREME EGGS!:eek::mad:

Cannot comment about Mr T or Mr M

I worked at Sainsbury's for about a year, but didn't take much notice when it came to our Christmas reductions [I was a vegan at the time, so most of it - if not all of it - was no good to me lol]. But, I suspect you are of course correct. :)

My local WH Smith had a ton of chocolate stuff reduced. To the point where they were stacked up in unopened boxes of product. Stacks of the stuff!

How bloody stupid of them! That place, which I don't shop there all of the time is the last place to buy chocolate esp when the staff try to flog it when a customer buys something....

As if I need more chocolate! Still working my way through the Christmas pile. That probably won't stop me though...

Most was 50% off, for some products this took it down to standard offer prices, but on others it was a good deal.
