If we want to use our PS2 and play a game which involves the G-CON2 gun, we have to use our portable. This is because our TV is a 100hz flicker free tv so of course the gun wont calibrate.
What I find a bit odd is that there must be 1000's of TV's out there now and especially with new designs and technology that they will all be flicker free, 100hz types?
Anyway, out of interest, I've seen for sale "copy" type guns which are compatible with the shooter games but just wondered if they would work with the 100hz TV?

depends on how much you are lookling to spend..I used a few different ones in the past with various results, if it says that its 100hz compatible it should be safe..although double check with vendor at time of purchase
try here...

i was about to purchase the sharpshooter until I found a couple of negative reviews
I then checked out Scorpion 3 and have found one negative review.
Does this mean it's a case of trial and error?0 -
it was pretty much hit & miss with me too...I found a local gamestation store & they were using a 100hz TV for demos & they pointed me to the sharpshooter which I used in store on time crisis II, i did the same though you'll find both good reviews and bad reviews everywhere don't really help the situation though I know! from experience though the one I have works..does the job..although the laser sight is a little gimmicky you'll take off after a few mins!We all die.
