Depends on her tastes.
I'd be delighted to receive books, flowers, a plant, bubble bath, chocolates, amazon voucher, nuts, fairy cakes.
What about making her a pamper hamper?Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...
..one size fits all... and nobody minds if you give it back.☆.。.:*・° Housework is so much easier without the clutter ☆.。.:*・°SPC No. 5180 -
Get a nice hardback scrapbook/ sketch pad, put a photo and handprint along with poem something along lines of this ......
We got this book for you in which to put the pictures we do, you can keep them safe and dry and when we're old they'll make you cry!
Or perhaps a poem just for her, about what a great mum and partner she is, she will treasure this forever I promise0 -
If it's really to be from the child, you'd be better off making a gift. Something simple like a handprint card. Or you could decorate a plain mug with ceramic pens (or sharpie pens - bake the mug in a very hot oven for about 40 minutes). Or the child could draw a picture on some card and you could attach a small calendar tab.
Personally, I don't like people buying on behalf of kids - I know the (very young) child hasn't had any input into the gift so it's not really from them at all. It just doesn't have the same emotion, to me.0 -

I agree.
At the very least, ask the child what he wants to give and take him shopping for it, otherwise it's nothing but another present from dad.0 -

What about a photo calendar?
Son could pick his favourite photos of himself, himself with Mum, and the whole family. Calendar can start with any month and special days can be highlighted. It would be a very individual present- you could have fun taking some special photos too.
I am just about to post a special code for Vista print which includes a photo mug on the codes & discounts board.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
