How does this sound? My friend wheels were still out after alignment, apparently if he would have paid £20 more, and he would have had to go elsewhere but they would do a geometry check? Alignment + ???

I thought geometry is something one only did in a maths class at school!

Don't bother just having the front wheels done at a tyre centre. Get the front & rear laser aligned, I had mine done as the front tyres were wearing really bad on the edge, the rears were even worse & I could feel the car rolling better after it was done. I used a place in Chadderton Oldham, about a hour from you. But there should be someone in your area. Just search online for Hunter laser alignment as this is the best equipment.

lol at hunter alignment. the equipment is only as good as the person using it. when I was an apprentice I used anolog that had been repaired with a piece of string you could even track with a big sheet of paper, strieght edge and a pencil if you know what you are doing
