Sold prices - not on rightmove?

I see that some houses are 'sold stc' for a long time (over a year) on rightmove but I can't see the sold price on rightmove/zoopla...
Is it possible to opt to not reveal the sale price?

There are some exclusions but the vast majority of house sales should be on there. There is no opt-out. The timescale is very much up in the air and depends on solicitors, Land Registry, Land Registry database transfers and the website in question. Solicitors can take up to 2 months to sent details to LR, LR can take up to 6 weeks to process them and then another 2 months to transfer them from their main database to their 'sold' database. Then the website (e.g. RM) has to pick up these sold prices by way of regular imports, which are usually done monthly. So in theory it can take up to 6 1/2 months. The quickest I've seen is completion on 25 Sep and appearance on Mouseprice on 1st Oct, meaning that all the above steps must have occurred within 3 working days (this isn't actually true, I got the date wrong and it was actually more like 3 weeks). Other times a property has its LR details updated and doesn't appear for months in the sold prices. Sometimes a property doesn't appear at all and if it's not a validly excluded property then it could mean the solicitor has forgot to send the details to the LR, which is not good.0

No, but repos aren't listed, and nor are some properties with peculiarities, like agricultural ties and, I believe, large amounts of land.
The reasoning goes that they might skew the figures, but there are plenty who would argue against that.
Land Registry says:
Exclusions summary
Our House Price Index and price paid information exclude:- all commercial transactions. By this we mean any transaction that involves a transfer to a corporate body, company or business
- sales that were not for full market value. By this we mean, the sale of part of a property, a share of a property or the sale of a property at a discount. Examples include right to buy properties, a repossession sale or a transfer between parties on divorce. Please see below for a full list
- sales that have not been lodged with Land Registry.
- All commercial transactions
- Transfers, conveyances, assignments or leases at a premium with nominal rent which are:
- 'Right to buy' sales at a discount.
- subject to a lease
- subject to an existing mortgage
- to effect the sale of a share in a property
- by way of a gift
- by way of exchange
- under a Compulsory Purchase order
- under a court order

There is a small developer living in my area who builds two maybe three houses each year.
His purchases of land or houses to knock down and the sale of the houses he builds never appear on any of the websites, so there must be a way of preventing the information becoming public knowledge.0 -
I bought my house 8 years ago - it doesn't show up, no idea why! (I paid the £3 to the land registry a few years ago, just to check what info they held & that was all correct).Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0

There are several reason why "sold" house prices do not appear
One is because the sale fits into one of the categories that the LR deliberatelydo not make available (see the LR site for details)
the second is because the LR made a !!!! up
and the third is because the EA marked the house as "SSTC" when infact it had been withdrawn for another reason (and yes I do have first handevidence of that happening)
