Tablet Help......

I have just read the other thread on here about tablet purchase but I want to really be spending under £100. What am I supposed to be looking for when I purchase them, I have had a look at this one http://www.ebuyer.com/407319-sumvision-cyclone-voyager-tablet-pc-cycvoy7 any advice and comments would be greatly appreciated. Also are you able to run sat nav on them? If so how would I do this?

  • I've seen the one on google, i'm not sure if I need to buy one as good as the nexus 7 rather than a cheaper one?

For the sat nav apps I use google maps/ navigation, have also downloaded co pilot and navfree but as of yet not used the last 2. As to how you use the app have a practice at home before you use it on a journey, google maps is easy to use.

What other uses apart from sat nav do you want from a tablet ?

As to what you look for, well Id get 1 with the best screen (as i understand it there are 2 types of screen and 1 is better than the other). Ive got a nexus 7 and its preetty dam good.
  • I'm not really sure how much I will use it which is why i'm relectant to spend a lot on it. I've already got a kindle and still not sold on the shiny screen for your books. What peoples opinions on this? Probably just do a fair bit on surfing, apps for silly things a few games rather than using a DS and sat nav. I'm struggling just because there are so many out there and the price range is so vast.

The more you spend the better it will be

    Buy a Nexus 7

From current issue of 'Computer Active' mag

    Worst products of 2012

    Cheap, shoddy Android tablets
Tablets from no-name brands are cheap & terrible. Shoddy build quality outdated versions of Android, no Google Play store, slow processors and small fuzzy screens.....etc etc

    .
  • Not sure all the cheaper tablets have GPS, which would be essential to use it as a satnav
