Student Credit Ratings... Help!

I'm just wondering... As a medical student I'm finding it hard to boost my credit rating for various reasons. While this isn't a major problem at the moment I am concerned for when I qualify as a doctor and will need more banking facilities.
I will be moving around quite a bit, etc. and I'm worried that my credit rating will suffer. Is profession taken into account? Medicine is (apparently) a stable career path with a rapidly growing salary - will this make me more attractive to banks?? Enough to boost/ignore my credit rating?
I pay all my cards/bills on time every time by the way.

why do you have a poor credit rating.. any reason other than that you are a student ? you are of course on the electoral roll at the address you use for your financial affairs.
and what particular reasons do you want a better one?
people on low incomes (like students) are not usually considered good credit risks for the obvious reason that they dont have much income.
doctors on the other hand start at about 28k per annum and can expect a rising salary and (reasonably) secure job.
Your credit rating (all other things being equal) will enjoy a dramatic rise.0 -
