Holiday Extra - Price Comparison Refund - NOT
Comments
-
Their website very clearly states - "Reclaiming your money is really easy. Simply call us on 0871 360 2100 and let us know. And that's it."
Their T&Cs make no mention of having to keep evidence by way of screen prints etc.
Their staff member who took my initial call asked for details of the lower priced website, put me on hold whilst she checked it (and told me she did a screen print) and then told me she would submit my claim to the appropriate dept.
IF she didnt find that the other website was lower, she wouldnt have needed to submit my claim.
Don't you think you are being just a little naive thinking that they will refund everyone who "gives them a call"?
Common sense would dictate that they will check the validity of all claims and only refund the appropriate claims.
Besides, their T&C's state:
7. Comparison prices must be listed and quoted in pounds sterling.0 -
Sorry - did you bother reading any of the thread?
Their customer service staff asked for the comparison website and went to check it (telling me that they had taken a screen print too).
Presumably, after seeing that there was a difference, they forwarded the claim to their appropriate dept - and advised me that they'd be in touch.
If the person couldnt see a price difference, they wouldnt have forwarded it would they.
Just because their claims dept didnt check the site for several days (after the xmas break) it isnt my problem the price has now gone up.
And No, I dont think Im being naive at all - I doubled checked their T&Cs and double checked both websites before going ahead. I followed THEIR rules 100%.
Perhaps if you stood your ground on such issues, the rest of us wouldn't have to suffer when companies try it on. Goodnight.0 -
            LOL.........If I stood my ground?
From the evidence available only one of us has recieved a refund from Holiday Extras. I wonder who it was?0 -

We'll be making it 1-1 before too long, dont worry.

Alledgedly my claim will be looked at next week-well outside the 72 hrs to get back to you T&C's

Got an email today: No surprise it was to deny the claim.
Pity they didn't use any of the information I gave them over the phone as their denial is using the wrong facts.
Email tennis has begun :cool:0 -
            Keep at em Blindman.
I got an email today to confirm my refund would be settled as soon as we get back on jan 14th
Pity they couldnt just do the right thing from the start - has left a bad taste.0 -

Well it took a little while and a little hassle but I got FREE parking in the end :T
Saved about £100 over my plan B scenario and took a few weeks of email tennis
There may be another opportunity to do a similar claim-I'll update if I can be bothered

Just put in a second claim.0 -
Just put in a second claim.
Which came up trumps again
Strange how the hotel's prices have gone up to now exceed Holiday extra's price
I did take a screen shot when I put in the claim-just in case and it did take them about 5 days to get back to me (I did ring to remind them
 ) 0
