just been successfully transferred over from incapacity benefit to contributions based support group esa.
this morning i received my p45 from the benefit people; there are 3 of them.
i am confused do i need to send them into th benefit office, or are they just for my records?
i didnt pay tax aparently, so i am confused as to why they have been sent!
benefit people didnt put a letter in with them saying what to do so i am none the wiser!

They are for your own records.
It's not clear from your post whether you didn't pay tax on your IB because you didn't exceed your personal tax allowance or because you were exempt from paying tax on your IB, but if the latter, then your ESA(CB) is not exempted and you will be liable for tax on the payments.0 -
i didnt pay tax on my ib, and that it was around £105 per week which is the same rate as my esa cb, so hopefully i wont pay any tax as it should be under my personal allowance like my ib was.
it worked out i got just slightly over £4000 last year in ib.0
