Orchards at Clacton seems to have disappeared. I booked last year and loved it. I will watch this thread with interest.

It's shown in the booklet, Haven The Orchards? Park number 4.

    Hi,

Can anyone recommend a nice site that we can take our dog to. That would have nice walks nearby. Not fussed about attractions, swimming pool etc, just a nice clean site and nice caravan.

    thanks

which part of the country are you looking for? Most of the Haven sites accept dogs and are on dog friendly beaches - you need to check with the Haven website for the 2 that dont accept dogs - one in Cornwall and one other...

We used to like Haven Presthaven Sands, north wales as the beach is very long and sandy and great for dogs to run around on..

Thanks for that, we live in SE London and happy to drive 4 hrs. I'll have a look at Presthaven Sands. Sounds like what we want.

Def there. Found it myself as looked at going there. The Sun site I am on, has coloured tabs at top and one says "getting started." Click on it and scroll down page, second paragraph says "check out park listings here" if you click on that it lists all parks in numerical order by area. You will see Haven The Orchards as its near the top. You can then click on it to get park details. I can't see any reason why you couldn't then book it when the time comes.

Is it any good in Clacton? Thinking of going there ourselves? Know Haven well so know what to expect but don't know area at all. Thanks :)

Orchards is definitely going to be offered as it's on the list which shows the additional charges, but is one of the ones which shows lots of dates where the passes are free.

Got the first daily mail this morning and was disappointed to find that none of the dates offered coincide with the big weekends at Bognor Regis Butlins. We were hoping to go as 6 and dont really want to go to one of the regular old weekends.

    Never mind!
