Moving to Crete. Which insurance?

My partner and I are moving to Crete in May 2013.
We need to have some sort of health insurance in place before we apply for our residence certificate.
Can anyone advise as to which insurance/assurance is suitable?
I've just read the article in this weeks Email, but I am still undecided as to insurance or assurance for this scenario.
We are both healthy and do not smoke. We have no dependents.
I would be grateful if anyone can explain, in simple terms, or who have knowledge of this.
Thanks.
Shirley.

What risks do you wish to insure against?
Medical?
Health/income?

Hi Kingstreet,
For the residence certificate I believe it's medical.
I was also considering life/death insurance, but reading the article I may just open a savings account.
Any thoughts or experiences would be most welcome.
