Didn't grab while I could in the Argos back to front Sale

Been watching a Nikon D3100 camera in Argos. It was £289 at the beginning of December, two weeks before Christmas it shot up to £329 (incidentally, Amazon, Jessops etc all followed within a few hours) but now in the sales when I thought I would bag a bargain, it has shot up another £50 to £379, that is £90 increase in about 3 weeks. I blame myself for letting her indoors talk me out of it when it was £289.00.:(

You should join in with a thread on the Consumer Rights board. You're rightly venting, the other OP thinks that the lower price should be honoured because there's no mention of the item being cheaper... (to cut a long story short!)

Best thing to do when you see something at a good price is to check the returns policy, and buy and keep sealed until the sale! Or check for any price promises in place.

Remember, not everything drops in the sale, and some things increase to counter loss leaders that are being advertised. But I guess you learnt the hard way! Keep watching, I'm sure it will drop again in a few weeks!

Check it out on camerapricebuster. I'm sure you'll find it cheaper there. And don't tell the missus until you've bought it!

We bought one as a gift from a local camera shop we use, it worked out at £289 after cashback...

I'd hang on for a week or two and I bet the price comes back down again with a big "£100 off" sticker attached.
