I am moving into a new property on Thursday and I'm really struggling to understand how much my bills are going to be and the best supplier to go with, I know this is probably an unanswerable question but I am so confused so any help would be appreciated!
There are 2 of us in a 3 bed house, we both work 9-5 and there is a ideal condenser boiler in the property. They are currently with British gas.
Thanks

Expect £2,000 a year for gas and electricity, and be glad when it's only £1,500.
Or you can take the fantasy approach, and dream that the bill will be £900, which was possible three years ago with E.On FixOnline 8.0 -
I think Pincher's £1500 is nearer the mark if you are sensible and switch things off standby / wear a jumper0

I'd stay with British Gas for at least the first Quarter and take meter readings so you can gauge your own usage.
After the first quarter you'll have something to enter into the comparison sites and be able to compare prices.
The good news is, that after this week its likely to become very mild, with temps widely into double figures away from the far north, so you may be able to practice minimising your heating usage right from the word go"Dont expect anybody else to support you, maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse, but you never know when each one, might run out" - Mary Schmich0 -
Typical bill for a 3 bed semi last year was £1300 so with increases £1500 sounds about right. Did you have a look at your EPC? That should give you an idea of the heating costs (gas).0
