  • Phew, glad it's not just me that found them awful. I was beginning to think I had awkward hair! Think I'll look into taking the rest back as I bought 9 with high hopes they'd be great!!
  • I have a lot of grey at my temples and this dye did not cover it that well. Probably my own fault as I only leave dye on for 15 minutes which is enough for most dyes on the market today. Otherwise it's fine, I'll just apply to my temples for a bit longer next time.

never turn a bargain /freebie down you just never know when you need it :D
  • have to see if my local one has any. though i find black is always sold out and being blonde naturally the roots show very quickly so i have to dye every 4-6 weeks

Yes, but not volume for volume: I look at the proportions of the colourant and the oxidising agent - eg if I were to use 1/4 of the tube of colourant, I would add 1/4 of the oxidiser. It's not the same as using 1 tsp of each.

Don't get into the habit of plucking your white hairs out - you could be bald by the time you're 70!

Sorry, I didn't get back to this - thank you for your reply. I will have to be brave and try some - I've got loads of thick hair so I'm OK at the moment but plucking isn't a great long term solution! :rotfl:

Will try the toothbrush and part pack of dye process

I like using a foam colourant as I'm a bit clumsy:o but they can be dear if not on a good deal. They have a good range of shades in store and it ends up working out at £2 a box, so I now have a little stash.

Sorry London Girl - I should have done a proper search prior to posting...
  • I really rate Loreal...Colour last for ages and covers well...I buy them when they are on offer too...Love the foam ones lots better than original dyes...Not half as messy...I get my OH to sqeeze the bottle into my gloved hands...Really quick ;-)

Any free delivery codes for this?

I have used this dye and find it very good. Lasts longer than John Frieda and it's much cheaper. The only thing I find a bit annoying is the gloves! But that is easily fixed :)
Goal: Win a car (or cash to buy one :))! -- Haha goal from when I was a student. Never actually won this but got a good job instead.

    What I achieved:
    Car paid in full straightaway.
    Two properties fully paid. Wohhoooo!

This offer is still on - http://www.superdrug.com/3-for-1-on-selected-superdrug-foam-colour/icat/2013e3_sdfoamcolour/ although no free delivery at the moment:(

I've just used one that I bought some time ago, and so far, I'm quite pleased! It was easy to apply, not too pungent, and seems to have covered the greys well :) And because I was only doing roots, I only used half the colour. It's not far off the colour on the box (perhaps a little darker - medium brown) although only time will tell how much it may fade. So all in all, I'd recommend!
