Hi everyone I've never done boots online shopping
If I were too add items now and save them would the items still be in the basket
Or would it get empty automatically thanks :)

They stay in your basket if it's still in stock.
If someone goes through the checkout with those items in their basket before you and they get the last ones then tough luck I'm afraid!

However; on 75% day I wouldn't risk it - the amount of traffic that will be on their website at 3am means it's unlikely they'll still be there.
It's just a case of whoever checks out first I'm afraid.

There's been many a time when I've had items in my basket and tried to checkout after spending a bit more time browsing the website only to find it's no longer available - has happened to me on various websites - not just Boots!

I dont thinks that is true.
They would not have the online items on the shop floor as this would mean that whenever anyone bought an item online that there would be staff taking those orders from the shop floor. It just does not happen that way. They have separate Distribution centres for online shopping. Logistically it would be almost impossible for them to work any other way.

I wandered around my local Boots at lunch today. There's not much around, a few gift sets, random stuff and loads of mens shower gel stuff. Nothing of real interest. I'll stilll pop over there again tomorrow to see if anything left

It was the Boots at Croydon Valley Retail Park, it's a fairly large store I would say.
  • I think she means the online checkout ;)

Oooh that's disappointing. I went into the store last week that we are going to tomorrow and its a big store and it was like it had been untouched since Xmas - so hoping it will be like this tomorrow when we descend!:j
