Utility Warehouse

This is a special area for the discussion of Utility Warehouse (Telecom Plus)..........

Why has this "special uw area" been relocated to the consumers rights forum here?:

Interesting, two thoughts come to mind, one is to bury the thread where it wont be seen. Or is it being suggested that UW are somehow infringing consumers rights.
Maybe Moneysupermarket is getting commission from them.
I would have checked this out but Moneysupermarket want your inside leg measurement before you get any results so I won't use them.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

does make me wonder these days, i used to think the site was netural but companys with bad reps they seem to be pushing and not even telling people the negative sides.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

I think UW is in a very select band of G&E suppliers who don't pay commission to Moneysupermarket, aren't they? Has the OP thought about simply contacting the MSE Forum Team and asking why this has happened instead of starting a thread about it first? ;)

I wouldnt have thought that MSE was suggesting they were breaching consumer rights . It wasnt that long ago MSE was speaking semi-favourably about one of their products UW Cashback Card http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/asda-sainsburys-cashback

    Spot the glaring error :D
The huge boon though is you get 3% back (3p per £100) on everything spent in Sainsbury's, with no ceiling on the cashback you can earn - and as many familes spend there every week, it could mean big savings.

Is the utilities supplier part of your rental contract? If so, you may be lumbered. If not, I'd let them know that you are off to another supplier, give readings now and regularly for as long as it takes to get changed over. If you have not got the cash they are demanding, contact them, tell them and try to sort something out. I have previously overpaid for one of their services. It took a while to get the money back but I did get it.

It's specifically stated in the relevant by the relevant authorities that a landlord cannot stipulate which utility supplier.
