Cleaning oven handle?

Help! Our cleaners have cleaned the handle of our oven and marked it. The oven is stainless steel but I think the handle may be aluminium. It looks like its oxidised slightly. Any ideas on how to get it off?

    Probably no way at all, it's most likely damaged the coating on it or the surface itself. :(
