Things have improved a bit the last couple of days. I have been feeling better and drove into Brum yesterday and sold some scrap gold for £296. My friend who bought my car paid me a big chunk of £400 so that has covered my missing weeks wages.

I'm also gonna put in a SSP form to work, they might say i'm not entitled as i have a zero hour contract but for the sake of filling out the form you never know.
OH isn't keen on me doing a DMP so I have cancelled it and will plod along. Have put a few more bits on Ebay, need to declutter as well as the extra money.0 -
Hi Aria - was mooching through the diaries over coffee & crumpets & came across yours .... having read through, seems we may have one or two things in common (as you may guess from my user name to start with!)
I'm also blessed to be owned by rescued Greyhounds as well as a dumpy Staffie
I dont envy you the refereeing between yours & the hamster mind - one of mine is partial to bringing baby birds in as presents ... wonder if he was a cat in a previous life ? :rotfl:
Totally get what you mean about clutter depression - I'm still wading through piles of storage boxes as well as general clutter ... nothing worse than knowing you have something, not finding it .. getting a replacement (using more space) only to stumble over not only the original item but additional replacements you've forgotten you got
Your debt totals are similar to mine, and I'll be interested in your tales (or tails ?) of your travels to clear it. As well as the up your income boards for inspiration - If you've not already seen it, there is also a monthly "Make £10 a Day Challenge" thread that's great for inspiration & support.
Good Luck

Hi Greyhound Angel.
I'm sure you'll agree the hounds make it all worth while, don't they. We enjoyed a loooong walk in the sunshine today so my 2 have been flat out all afternoon and evening. LOL. The hamster has lost a bit of novelty I think, Miss Bossy Boots tends to watch from her bed now.
We went to Mr A for some shopping this afternoon, they didn't have what I went for but did get some cheapie reductions for the freezer.
I also had to order some ointment for the dogs as Sky has been wagging her tail too much and has split the end. I already have one half tailed dog (for the same reason), don't need 2!
The tinternet connection has been playing up again so I only managed 4 new listings on Ebay. Did sell 2 items, £48.98 so have rounded it up and paid £50 off Bcard.0 -
Ugh, I used to get so frustrated with my internet connection - I'm so glad I managed to get myself switched !
Yes they are all such characters - well at least they are when they're not upset down on the sofa and away in doggy la la land :rotfl:
Hope you've had a good start to the week :A

Yesterday and today were NSD.
A few little bits of makeup sold on Ebay last night, will post them today and they can all go as large letters and I have a stack of stamps so nothing to buy.
Cooked a whole chicken on Tuesday, had it with veg for tea then, OH had sandwich for lunch yesterday and made chicken and mushroom risotto last night. Still a bit of sliced meat left in fridge and I have just put the carcass in the SC and will make a pot of stew from it that will probably last a good couple of days.
Am a bit fed up at the moment to be honest, sick of being skint and juggling money but hey ho. I have a xstitch birth sample to finish before Monday and plan of getting a load more Ebay listings on for 10 days this afternoon and evening so they will finish next Sunday as I am at work next week Monday to Monday.0 -
Another quiet couple of days. I got a shift in at the pub on Friday night and didn't spend any of my wages on alcohol, which is unusual. Not a NSD today though as taxed a bike.

5 sales on Ebay tonight, 2 have paid but I hope the 4 I am waiting for (including one from Tuesday. )pay so I can get the stuff posted tomorrow on the way to the train station to work. If not I have to take it all to work 70 mile up the road and try and post it on a rare break. Got another 18 listings up tonight so hopefully when I get back from work next Monday will have loads to pack and post. I'm resisting the urge to transfer it straight into the bank and pay it off something as next month will be tight as well and may need it to go towards minimum payments, will have to be patient for a week. :rotfl:
Don't really want to go to work tomorrow but will try and have a cheap week.0 -
I hate that "don't want to go to work feeling" ... it usually gets me just after my alarm's gone off :rotfl: Sorry you're feeling a bit low - I think we all get that fed up feeling at times, gad knows I do ... lots! Best thing I do have have canine snuggles with the hounds, never fails to lift the spirits - if even only for a while

Talking of which, I'm lucky neither of mine have "touch wood" broken their tails ... the amount of wagging against hard surfaces, I'm surprised. Mind you the little princess did manage to run headfirst into the patio door the other day .. daft mare ... shame it didn't knock any sense into her though :rotfl:
Well done on the NSD's & you're doing well with the ebay stuff
Did you manage to get everything posted on the first attempt ?
I'm assuming the bike is of the engine powered variety ... what do you have ? I miss mine
Hope your weeks got off to a good start, despite the impatience - what's that saying .... "resistance is futile" !
