  • Still at work, I really just want to go home now, especially if it going to snow I would rather be curled up with my OH and doggies than here.
Didn't stick to my not spending rule, had to buy some more food as my service user eats tiny portions and expects me to too. I can't survive on around 700 calories a day though so have to have plenty of snacks about. Also had to buy some body spray as mine ran out this morning, was on offer at half price though so not bad.
Have insured car, paid for in full as budgeted so that is done for another year
    Nothing exciting really.
  • Tonight I remembered to claim my Nectar points from confused.com. I normally save them for xmas food in Sainsbugs but might need them earlier this year.
I also logged onto Ipsos in the hope of a survey as I was 20 points off a payout and found they had given me 150 loyalty points so a £10 cb voucher ordered. It will cover some essentials at Boots or something when needed.

I have just come across your diary and have added it to my subscription list.

You have obviously managed to clear a debt in the past and know how to do it - a bit at a time.

I too find that debt and clutter go hand in hand - they both seem to overwhelm us at times and it is hard to see clearly.

You have made a good start - best wishes.
  • Have neglected this diary a bit already. (slaps own wrist) and had a bit of a depressing week.
I got stuck at work as my relief got snowed in, not a single word from my agency, the other girl was told to sort it out herself as the manager has left! Don't even know if I have work next week yet?

Am really skint. OH decided I was changing my car (he uses it more than me though!) as a friend of his was selling a good car cheap as he needs funds for his wedding. It will save us money long term in fuel and tax and be more reliable and better to drive but it is to tax before the end of Jan and mot before mid Feb and is due a service and 4 tyres! OH had the money sat in a savings account but I need to fund the running costs. I have passed my old car on to a good friend to get her out of a hole but she cannot afford to pay me until an insurance claim she is waiting on pays out. I simply could not afford to run 2 cars though so at least it is not mine to worry about insuring etc. I also trust her to pay me back. :p
The above meant that I got paid on Sat, put the rent away into the house account and have enough to get me to work next week (assuming I have some:eek:) and tax the car with about £8 left to live off for a week. I also still need to pay £180 off Bcard as I will be over limit again once interest goes on and pay Jan council tax. So am £278 short. They will just have to wait.

Have photoed a box full of of bits to go on Ebay so that is tonights mission. And should really clean out at least one fish tank. Might just have a bottle of wine from the cupboard as OH is out and i'm not at work tomorrow.
  • Only managed 10 listings on Ebay as I had a 3 hour nap on the couch!
Will try for some more 99p starts tomorrow.
  • Not really kept up as I was at work last week and only had phone which I hate trying to post on.
Made over £50 from Ebay sales which I have paid off Bcard. This brings me back into my credit limit. :o
No more payments from this payday as I have paid for 2 tyres for the car, will take it to get them fitted this afternoon. I did order them online to get a discout. It still needs the other two doing but they will have to wait a few weeks.
I have spent some money on fishtank plants this week and treated myself to a breadmaker which I will play with this afternoon. I will have to make a lot of bread until it pays for itself but hopefully it will taste nicer.
Off to visit my friend at her shop now, then will get tyres done and pop into Sainsbobs on way home for 2 things only!
  • I just wanted to say congratulations, you are doing an amazing job. Hope you are feeling better about life now.

Lots of good wishes from a fellow debt struggler.
    Debt as of Dec 2012: 8900 :(
    Debt as of May 2013: 3000 :)

  • Today has been a NSD.
I dyed my hair this morning and set up my new Folksy shop, only a couple of scarves on so far but the hard part is done.
Got both fishtanks cleaned out and planted up this afternoon, only the hamster to clean when he finally decides to get out of bed. :rotfl:
Having last nights left over curry for tea and neeed to walk the pooches. Exciting life I lead!

I am itching to pay something off a debt but am totally skint. I might stick a few 99p listings on Ebay tonight to end on Sunday, am still waiting for a payment for an item that sold on Monday.
  • The last few days I have suffered from a bit of a sore throat, by yesterday I could hardly get out of bed, hot/cold sweats, headache body aches = flu bug. I had to phone in sick for work today. Now this will probably mean that I lose the whole week (I work for an agency so no sick pay) so no wages for 2 weeks. This means I can't manage the minimum payments on my debts this month (It is really tight every month) so I bit the bullet, rang up and organised a DMP. I have debated over this for the last year but always put it off but it will allow me to breath (especially if interest is stopped as that is the killer) and I can always make overpayments.
Just got to wait for the peperwork to come through now.
I did get 5 items on Ebay last night, only relists though as felt too ill to do anything properly but you never know.
Could do with selling something as the bike is to tax at the end of the month.
