Seat Height of chairs?

I want to buy a round dining table (90 cm) for my kitchen/diner but want to buy the chairs separately as I don't like the sets.
I want a "bistro" look - maybe glass top table but would like curved padded chairs with the lower backs.
My problem is, the seat heights of the chairs are all different so, are there any hard and fast rules about the seat height to the height of the table? I would hate to order some chairs and they end up being too low!

Quite simple really. You check the height of the chairs that you don't like, and if it is suitable you go and buy chairs that you do like that are of the same height. That is exactly what we did when we did not like the chairs offered with our glass topped sliding leaf dining table. We ended up with some waiting room chairs from an office furniture supplier.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Thanks! 27col, that's what I thought but wondered if there was a simpler way then back and forwards to different websites checking measurements.
That's strange what you said about your chairs from an office furniture supplier as I have found the perfect ones from a Restaurant and Bistro furniture supplier.
They just seemed a little lower than standard chairs but havn't picked a table yet so am jumping the gun a bit. :rotfl:0 -
