I've never bought clothes from Asda (don't live near a clothes one lol), but I'm having exactly the same problem at the moment with M&S ... I bought some tights and pants there recently, and only two pairs out of each pack fitted me. The rest were way too small, and even the ones that fitted me were far smaller than some 'same-sized' ones that I'd bought a couple of months ago. Absolutely bizarre, and a total waste of money too.
My mum and gran have noticed the same thing too - my gran, who's a tiny, very petite size 8, ended up in a size 18 jumper! My mum has commented on this too, she's an 8-10 and has found herself buying stuff from 6 to 14!0 -
Thing is, I can understand maybe a dress sixe up or down, but to go from a 6, to a 14 in the same store seems a bit stupid!! Theres absolutly no way im a size 6, and at the same time, im certainly not a 14 either, its very annoying...You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....

I once bought some maternity clothes from Asda when they first started selling clothes. By 5 months pregnant they didn't fit, and I had a tiny bump (I was only a size 10 pre-pregnant .... (sigh, those were the days)). Anyway, I wrote to ASDA and included a copy of my maternity notes that said my baby bump was relatively small, and I told them I didn't have money to replace them (this was very very true, I was short of cash in those days as well (another sigh)) what was I to do. I was invited to one of their very large stores, there then followed the most bizarre thing where I was asked to try on heaps and heaps and heaps of outfits (they kept bringing me juice and snacks during this) with two assistants. At the end, everything from the entire range that had fitted I was given to keep .... and I was given a complete refund from the initial purchase .... and as I was leaving the manager came over laden with more bags full of brand new baby outfits and other baby goodies. I was astounded, and so very very grateful. I quite often still buy outfits / clothes from my children from ASDA.
Perhaps you could drop them a line Vik and see what they say?0 -
Hi All,
I find Asda clothes quite okay, but then I only ever buy 'small' T shirts or jumpers, or exactly the same size 30''W/29''L jeans!
On that note though, the 'same' size jeans from Tesco are always too big, which is why I stick to Asda ones!
Love your avatar btw, Vik! So is Swansea really the City of Townsville?! lol
Cheers

I LOVE the fact that you love my avvy! lol! The weird thing is, buttercup is the absolute spit of me, to the point that my mates call me by her name!
Anyway, asda... In theory, it'd be great to complain, but to be honest, I think id feel like a bit of a muppet complaining about the fact that I had to buy a 6 iykwim???
But whilst ive spent long enough in the business (im a trained fashion stylist) to know that there is no one 'standard' size, I find george to be the most bizzarre sizing ever...You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....

I buy most of my clothes at Asda but do find that sizes can be inconsistent for men as well. I'm not going to give too much away but if w is the size of my waist then trousers in any size from (w-2) to (w+4) have been a perfect fit.Can I help?0

See, inconsistancies(sp!) in womens clothing I can sort of understand, but MENS! Surely 34 inches is 34 inches here, in asda, in spain, in india....!!!You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....
