    Always go for a 3 rather than a 2 if your budget will stretch as the Retina display was a huge leap. If you're using it for reading websites, the text is just so much sharper it's unreal.

    There was much less of a jump from the 3 to the 4.
  • Hubby bought the ipad 4 Retina Display 32GB for me for Christmas for just a few pounds more than that on Apple Deals Day end of November. I don't think that is such a great price for the previous model, iPad 3.

    Even though the iPad 3 has a faster chip and better quality screen, the retina display takes up most of the processing speed therefore making the 2 and 3 very similar in performance.

    Also note that getting the 16gb and using an online storage facility :)

    I do believe that the best one to get for day to day use is the iPad 2

    The iPad 4 is just smaller and has the same chip as the iPad 2 I believe...

    well the deal i found is no longer available and so after reading all your comments I think I may as well go for an ipad 3 16gb with online storage??? How does the online storage work and can anyone point me in the right direction to get it please x
