Arrangement Fee!!

Hiya
This is my first posting on this forum, even tho been here for a while reading various threads and gathering as much info as possible.:j

In my own battle with HSBC i am claiming £2440 in unfair charges and im at the stage where if they don't reply in the next couple of days to my LBA i am gonna start court procedings.
I recieved my latest statment from them at the weekend and inside was a leaflet informing me about the Arrangement Fee that i was being charged, for being overdrawn, not having enough funds in my account to pay for direct debits or if this is the case if they decide to pay the direct debits their charge for all the hard work that they do and the inconvienience of it all!! but its not actually a charge its an Arrangement Fee.
I am being charged this arrangement fee due to a £4 direct debit coming out of my account on a friday as money was being paid into my account on the monday.

As far as i am concerned this it is just the new fancy name for another unfair charge.
When i start court procedings can i add this charge onto my total that im claiming back? Also i haven't included any interest but i am thinking about it! Im gonna call it The Unfair Arrangement,Arrangements Fee

It seems indeed to be a fancy new name for an unarranged overdraft fee, which is reclaimable. I would put it in for claim anyway and let the bank decide whether it wishes to stand in court and dispute it along with the rest of the charges. Not likely is it ?

Since you are at court stage you are entitled to add interest and it will be awarded by the court along with your costs. Good luck :)
